Revamped first day of my trip. Get first ferry of the day from Manhattan to Highlands, then it's 91 miles to May's Landing, which seems to have a nice B&B which will take a one-night Sunday booking. It would be a bit easier if there were somewhere in Ocean Grove which took a Sat night one-night booking, but that looks debatable.
