Poking around the "Forgotten Triangle" and visiting other spots in Cleveland's Kinsman Neighborhood.

Cleveland's Rockefeller Park is home to the Cultural Gardens, built and maintained by Cleveland's many ethnic groups. There are scenic bridges, and Doan Brook winds through it. Close to Cleveland's cultural hub, University Circle.

Landmarks include University Circle and the Cultural Gardens

Staying limber while I wait for a hip replacement!

The latter half of the ride is through a depressed area with many vacant lots. There is hope and resilience in the form of urban farming and gardening as well as rehabbed housing and new construction. Friendly people.

I'm not sure this is a safe or practical way to get back to the heights without climbing Fairhill Road. Just saying...

Couldn't show the actual route across the pedestrian bridge over the shoreway that links Gordon Park south of shoreway to the lakefront.

!st leg of getting back home. I took the bus up Cedar Hill. Rest of trip is part 2

Rises 32 feet in about 330 linear feet, nearly a 10% grade! I walk my bike up this steep hill to avoid the longer uphill coming home via Woodland. This way the climbs before and after this steep one are more gradual.

There via Woodland (downhill, almost too much fun), back via Quincy, a more gradual climb with a steep walk up Mt Overlook behind the water plant. Change in elevation almost 500 feet each way.

A safer route after dark, as walking the bike up Mt Overlook by the water plant is not a good idea at night.

Lots of uphill! I walk up Cedar Glen Parkway for reasons of safety.
